Blog Elul Day 24-End

"Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning, and under every deep a lower deep opens."~Ralph Waldo Emerson

What we perceive as endings are actually new norms. We move forward not always because we want to, but because we need to.

Hard Candy Christmas (from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) Music and Lyrics by Carol Hall

**Blog Elul is the brainchild of Rabbi Phyllis Sommer. Her blog and various links can be found at http://imabima.blogspot.ca

(Editorial note: This is NOT a Christmas song, even though it is often mistaken for one and sung as such. It is a song of lament and of what happens next. It is so often associated with Dolly Parton that many people think that she wrote it.)
