Today's Shabbat Music Break comes from the crystal clear voice of Cheryl Wheeler. Cheryl is a New England based singer/songwriter in the new folk tradition. Her music is passionate, true, and honest and her guitar skills are exceptional. Her songs have been covered by such diverse artists as Garth Brooks, Kenny Loggins, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Holly Near, and of course Suzy Bogguss' rendition of today's featured tune Aces. Cheryl's voice is pure and beautiful, and I have always wondered why she hasn't achieved the success of some of her more famous contemporaries like Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
